Demi Lovato is one of the lasted stars to go pale pink
Bubblegum and fuchsia may be the hue of choice for Nicky Minaj and Katy Perry, but when it comes to pink hair, we’re loving the more wearable pastel version.

Pale pink ends first hit the style radar three to four years ago, and were mostly seen at edgy fashion shows and on trendsetting magazine covers. But now the trend is so popular with the Hollywood crowd it’s almost as as mainstream as plain brunette locks. We’ve seen it on everyone from young starlets such as Lauren Conrad, Dakota Fanning and Ashley Tisdaleto to model Brookyln Decker, Mad Men star January Jones and even Julia Roberts (she tried the trend at the urging of her young daughter Hazel!).

Keen to copy the look? The good news is that there’s no commitment required. Search “hair chalking” on You Tube and you’ll find dozens of tutorials. All you need to do it spray your hair wet, apply chalk or soft wax pastels, then heat style with tongs or a straightening iron to set the colour. When you’re over it, just wash it out. We also recommend Kevin Murphy Colour.Bug, which is a specifically designed for hair and is available at salons.
