Cult New York beauty brand Kiehl's has opened its second New Zealand outpost, at Smith & Caughey's Newmarket.

To mark the occasion, the store is holding a 'Shop for a Cause' day this Friday, September 23, with all profits from the new store (and the Queen Street store) benefiting Garden to Table.

Local celebrities including Jay Reeves and Casey Green will be manning the tills, while top make up artist and Kiehl's fan Nikki Lovrich will be dispensing advice in store. The charity day will be in keeping with the Kiehl's brand values of New York-style fun: there will be a popcorn, candyfloss and a gorilla giving away deluxe samples of cult Kiehl's products.

Garden to Table is a local charity that funds gardens in primary schools, so children can learn not only how to grow their own produce, but also how to make tasty meals from the fruits (and vegies) of their labours
