She’s famous for creating buzz and pushing the envelope, but right now Madonna’s in the press for all the wrong reasons.
Australian artist RJ Williams has announced he plans to sue the pop icon, because her newly launched fragrance, Truth or Dare by Madonna, bears a logo he claims is almost identical to one he created (and has used for years on his clothing line). The logo features an M with a T inset across it.
Williams told The Sunday Telegraph, “It’s about my integrity as an artist. I do not think it should be able to be used by a giant cosmetics company.”
It’s not the first time the uber-successful music star has run into copyright problems. Girls Gone Wild businessman Jo Francis recently sued over Madonna’s song of the same name.
