The scent of brand new leather seats and spotless upholstery is so appealing that Ford has bottled it – as Olor a Neuvo perfume.
The scent, which means “smells new” in Spanish, was designed to help sell its Seleccion line of used cars. The ad campaign mentions that its second-hand cars are the “the only used cars that smell new,” thanks to a spritz of the unusual perfume. The auto giant has also produced bottles of the fragrance to tie in with the marketing campaign.
Who knows, Ford’s scent could even be successful as a men’s aftershave, given that it has connotations of wealth, cleanliness and luxury!
