The result was “a mental patient level of crying,” she told US TV’s Live with Kelly. The Dark Knight Rises star says going for the drastic chop was more difficult than "doing back flips out of windows and jumping off buildings.”
Hathway's new pixie haircut was essential to her upcoming role of Fantine in Les Miserables.
Hathaway isn’t the only celebrity to have cried over a short haircut recently – earlier this year Cameron Diaz also admitted to shedding a tear over the loss of her long locks.
