How do volumising powders work?
The dust adheres to the cuticle layer of the hair, creating a matte effect which allows strands to grip to one another. Volumising powders add a unique grip to the hair. Different from mousse or hairspray, they achieve a completely unique matte texture. They hold without 'stick’ - allowing a more authentic messed-up look. You can use them on dry hair to compliment other volumising products.
What type of hair do volumising powders suit?
They can be used on all hair types especially those craving texture. They are also particularly great for adding oomph to fine limp hair. How should you apply it?
Apply it gradually, sprinkling through the lengths and ends, then rub to create the desired volume, add more to amplify the matte messed-up effect!
What are some pitfalls to avoid when using them?
Tecni.art Super Dust can be used on dark hair, although intense kneading is a must, to avoid a powdery look. Steer clear if you are going for maximum shine. Hair powders can also obscure roots in lighter hair, however a dry shampoo may be more effective.
Do they need to be washed out daily?
Simply just knead and lift the hair again the next day, add more if you so desire!
