We took a look at this year’s Melbourne Fashion Festival make-up trends and discovered that dark red and deep pink/purple lips were popular for models and celebrities alike.

Heavy, smoky brown or lilac/pink over-defined eyes were also a feature with super-pale, creamy or neutral skin. Soft, dewy lips of pale pink gave a girlie glow to some on the catwalk and stand-out brows defined the faces of others. It was a case of girlie au natural versus striking glamour.
